How to Prepare Your Property for Winter Snow Removal

A little preparation in fall makes winter snow removal faster, cleaner and less likely to damage your property. Here's a practical checklist for London homeowners and property managers before the first snow.

Mark the Edges

Snow hides everything. Driveway edges, garden beds, walkway borders and low objects vanish under white, which is how lawns get torn up and beds get plowed. Staking driveway edges and marking tricky borders before the snow flies protects your property and helps the crew work fast.

Fix Drainage Now

Downspouts and low spots that drain across walkways create ice all winter. Redirecting a downspout or correcting a low spot in fall prevents the melt-refreeze ice that causes most falls. Clear Access Points
